Perhaps that is simply a bit of 1960s idealism that most people have outgrown; but it remains near and dear to me. 2005-04-27 2:45 PM Coffeetime Romance review I received a very nice review of my book at Coffeetime Romance.
DARK BROTHERS OF THE LIGHT 1: BLOOD RITES JANRAE FRANK ISBN# 1-58873-609-1 March 2005 Renaissance E-Books www.renebooks.com E-Book $2.50 178 Pages Page Turner- Science Fiction Fantasy Rating: 5 Cups Isranon Dawnhand defied his nature, refused to take blood rites and passed his ways and teachings down to all his descendants. Killed by his own brother, Waejonan, a sa’necari, while his other brother, Brandrahoon, a vampire, looks on. His family is then forced to live in secret from the dark and light forces at work all around them, constantly moving from one place to the next. Blood Rites is the story of Isranon, the last descendent of Isranon Dawnhand, born sa’necari and reared by lycans. In his quest for power, Brandrahoon, Lord Hoon, now a high level vampire, accidentally has Isranon taken by Anksha the Beast. She is Lord Hoon’s perfect weapon; part feline, part woman and part of something no one knows, not even Anksha herself. As Anksha feeds on Isranon, it becomes apparent he is different from any of her previous blood-slaves. He is weaker than the others, yet somehow stronger. She begins to feel sad as she feeds, realizing she hurts him and he reminds her of someone she loved long ago, someone who could ruin everything Lord Hoon has worked for. Blood Rites is a great read. It began a little slow because of all the names, races, and familial, friendly and enemy ties the characters had between each other. Despite the slightly confusing beginning, the story of Isranon is completely engaging. Especially for those who enjoy a story full of vampires, wolves, ghosts and other-worldly beings. The story literally leaves you on edge, making the reader want to finish the entire series immediately.
