2010-06-26 2:01 PM A modern superstition for 6/26. Pedestrian "A" comes to the corner of a big intersection, one in which the light changes are influenced by car sensors and at this time there are cars a-plenty. He pushes the "walk" button (I'm keeping it 'male' here because we are talking pushy!) and the signal for the opposing direction is still on full "walk", a good indicator of the wait.
Along comes person "B", and even when he's seen "A" push the button he pushes it again. And again. Does joining the queue negate the effect of the button? It happened to me today. The cult of the individual manifests itself again! And again. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
