It's smaller details, if not small change.

It's a small issue, but telling. I had one twenty dollar bill on hand and wanted to break it up for such as magazine purchases (be nice to vendors) and my pay-to-play jazz band. Be nice to vendors, indeed, go automated. I put the bill into the slot at my self-serve market and it kept coming back.

It was taped together from, no kidding, being halved.

For maybe years now I know where I get all my Andy's: various automated tellers. So the bank stocked this one?

Well, now I trust this bank even less. But I rescind my fury for a second to make my purchase with Their Magic Card. And later a live cashier willingly accepts even the scotched sheckel.

All is well, if a little convoluted, which points to why finance has its own section of the paper as it radiates out to the others.
