Ack, is it really time to leave already?! On one hand, it feels as though we just got here—the days go by fast. On the other, it feels as though we’ve been away from CA forever. We’re looking forward to going back—it’s _our_ house!—but I’m not looking forward to the pile of mail, or the carpet that will be covered with white Eostre fur. So, here we are at BTV (Burlington Airport). We’ve got about an hour ‘til our flight, although they’ll board us sooner, of course. We change in Chicago, and get in at about 10 p.m. (which will be early a.m. east coast time, so we’ll be wiped). Well, cool: 673 words while sitting in the airport. I decided to read an RT Bookclub magazine on the first flight, and after we ate and wandered a little in Chicago, we got straight on the plane. I’m starting to get sleepy, but I’m going to shoot for 1K today, and maybe also deal with some e-mails. Yay for me! More than 1K! Just a few more paragraphs and I’ll have Chapter 9 finished. I’m still woefully behind on both Dares, but I’m feeling quite pleased with today’s progress (I could have just as easily read magazines during the flights and blown off work) and confident about the coming week. The laptop’s battery is about to run out, so I must be off. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
