Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Nowhere to go

Wildwood editing

I probably turned the light out at 3 last night, so I slept until 11. I really needed a full night of uninterrupted sleep, and it felt good. I made some Easy Mac and settled down in front of the computer, and then Ken called. He’s got a day crammed full of meetings—all of them back and forth across Portland. Poor guy. But he’s going to stop in at some used CD stores as well. It was a lovely surprise to hear his voice.

So, I have no errands today, and nothing with a time constraint except for a little TV tonight. I have to copy edit the final journal article, and writing-wise, my goal is to work on the edits for “Return to Wildwood”, as requested by the editor. I have some various and sundry e-mails, phone calls, and house straightening to do as well. And I really should do my write-up of GWW, before I forget all of it!

Well, I’ve trimmed about 400 words out of “RtW”; the editor asked for 1000. I’m not sure I can do it, but I’ll work on it again tomorrow. I’m getting too sleepy to be careful with it.
