Went to bed at 2 a.m., and woke up at about 8:30 a.m. feeling like a fish out of water, in the sense that I was stuffed up so I was breathing through my mouth, which had gone dry. I snorted nasal spray and drank some water and stumbled back to bed, whereupon I passed out until the phone calls started at regular half-hour intervals. A hang-up, then Ken, then Ken’s mom. I didn’t get up for any of them, but finally accepted that I should get up. Doesn’t mean I have to be entirely awake, or happy about it, though. Oookay. It’s 7:30 p.m. Busy day. I finished embroidering a Queen’s Guard baldric and got it and the other one I did ready to mail (they had to be mailed today). Ran errands, including mailing stuff and buying a bit of food and more Nyquil and nasal spray. Came back and copy edited the last article in the journal. (I’m going to wait until the beginning of December to work on another one, I think. By the time I get all the queries done with this one, it’ll be time for my surgery, and the week after that we’re going to be at a 4-day T’giving party. And, most importantly, I have to write!) I’ve paid bills (long overdue pile of mail…) and done laundry. I still have to shower and do my nails, pack, copy files to the laptop and back, and a few other assorted and sundry things. And, of course, write! A very public HOORAY! to my mother-in-law, Jacqueline, who just got hired for a new job! Yay! We all told her she’d get it, but she didn’t believe us. Okay, I’m a bonehead. It’s almost midnight and I’m still cleanign up e-mail and whatnot. I have to be up in less than 6 hours. Argh. No writing, either, so I feel like a slacker, but there you go. I’ll write during the trip (really!) and keep up on the journal. See you all on Monday evening… Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
