2003-03-03 11:59 PM Threes It?s 03/03/03! How fun is that?
I was terribly productive today, although not entirely successful in anything. I had my chiro and massage, then picked up wunder-under so I could work on my velvet banner for Pentathlon. I got most of the SCA filing done, but I ran out of plastic tabs for the hanging file folders (and they?re rigid tabs, not the flimsy ones), so there?s still a pile on the desk. And a pile of stuff to put into the A&S notebook, and a pile of rapier info to put into a rapier notebook. So, not quite done. Then there was the banner experience. Lesson learned: the back of velvet does _not_ stick to wunder-under. So I walked away from that. Later in the evening, Ken and I reviewed the options, and I?m no longer making a velvet banner, but a dupioni silk one. I even had all the silk (another big piece of purple and a big piece of white to go with the piece of purple I?d bought to back the velvet banner)?quelle surprise. Not. We?re such fabric junkies. I realised I had all the fabric for at least four Italians (purple and black satin, red/gold/black brocade, green and black satin/velvet, and one other that?s escaping me now). I think if we just worked on project for which we had fabric, and worked steadily, we?d finish by the end of the year. Maybe. I started to work on BH, doing some freeform writing to figure out a snag in the plot, but Ken came home earlier than I expected. We had dinner and went out to the sewing room early and puttered before the other folks showed up. I finished my brick oak-leaf-dagged cotehardie except for sewing it down the front, which will just take a few minutes. Nice to have another project off the list (well, almost). The banner is now the first priority. Then, at some point, I need to get together with Ceridwen to hash out a new Italian pattern for me, as her Italians fit me almost perfectly. And now, to bed!
