Mood: Headachy and grumpy Read/Post Comments (1) |
2003-03-05 11:22 PM Dratted Yeah, I?m definitely in a nesting phase. Last night Ken was trying to get the G4 running properly again*, so I sat in the living room and watched HGTV. Then I found two Period Living magazines from Britain, which I only now vaguely remember buying right before we left, and starting cutting out anything worth keeping. Last night I kept the ?wah, I miss Britain? depression at bay with a glass of wine, but this morning, feh. I try to look at the prices in the magazine and remember how ridiculously expensive everything was. And there was no Baja Fresh. So.
Also, I had this nifty little cutter for cutting things out of magazines and newspapers, and I left it on the coffee table last night, and the cats apparently spirited it away to wherever they hid the lucet lock. We Are Not Amused. *Apparently Microsoft Office is crashing one of our hard drives. Dammit. The problem is, I?ve used Word since about 1989, and I really do love Entourage. As much as I know Microsoft overall is sucky, I?m unwilling to swap right now. Anyway, Ken had to buy a small hard drive for work, but they don?t sell ?small? hard drives anymore, so he bought a gazillion gig hard drive for here and is taking the small problematic one to work (he spent last night copying everything off it, so he can wipe it out and start over with it at work). Follow all that? Maybe by the end of the week I?ll have the G4 back for web stuff and e-mail, and return the TiBook to being my writing computer. So I don?t want to write today, I want to clean and organise and rearrange. Well, I?ve taken out the old newspaper and brought in the new one, and designed my birthday party invitation. Ya?ll should be getting one soon. Ya?ll meaning those of you that I personally know. Although, hell, if the rest of ya?ll want to come, let me know! It?s much later now. I did slog my way through the reading/note-taking on the dreaded Chapter 5, and it wasn?t nearly as bad as I imagined. So, yay. Ken was late getting home from work so I went to the Costumer?s Guild meeting by myself. While I was there, the sinus headache I developed overnight (thanks to our mildewy heating system) but had kept at bay for most of the day flared up, so when I got home after 10 I was in pain and starving. And on the way home, I realised I?d forgotten to tape ?Angel?, and tonight was a seminal episode with a returning character, and boy, did that put me in a bad mood. Ken fed me Mexican rice and chicken flautas (both pre-made), but the headache and some of the grumpiness over forgetting to tape the episode remain, so I think I?m just going to go to bed and start all of this over tomorrow. G?night! Oh, and I found the cutter thingie under the coffee table. Still no sign of the lucet lock, although I checked under the loveseat. Dratted cats. Good thing they?re so bloody adorable.
