Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Is your love strong enough?

Monday already. I was hoping it was still last week… [g]

Copy editing, listening to the Legend soundtrack over and over (because it has only two songs with words—I can write listening to lyrics, but not copy edit) and wanting to watch the movie again. I think we have it only on British tape, though. I think I have the extended DVD on my wish list.

Had the job interview today. It went pretty well—I know I aced the tests. I’m sure I looked like a total goober during the interview, but that can’t be helped. The HR lady said they’d be calling folks for second interviews as early as Wednesday, gave me her card, and said to call her if I hadn’t heard anything by Friday. That’s a totally positive sign. If I’d really been a goober, she would have thanked me politely and sent me on my way.

I just deleted a few paragraphs about it all, realising that this journal’s public. Suffice to say it sounds like a fascinating job, really exciting. A great place to showcase my skills. And I’m not just saying that because someone from the company could be reading this; I really mean it.

Anyway. Since I’ve got this majorly tight copy editing deadline, I spent four hours on that after I got home, breaking for dinner and cat scritchies. Ken held down the fort in the busy sewing room; we had a big crowd tonight, and he said lots of people got things accomplished, which is always good to hear. Makes it worthwhile, you know?

I think perhaps a snack, a soak in the hot tub, and bed with my honey and a good book (or not… [eg]) is in order. Provided I don’t get lost in the Legend faq I bookmarked earlier…
