Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

An evil manta named Ray

The Internet is such a time sink. I dealt with e-mail today, then found a site that had 30 or so Styx quizzes, and lost several hours. Ack!

I did vacuum, and go through GWW files in preparation to pass them on to my successor, and I did dishes, and, um...

I aced a lot of the quizzes...

I went to an SCA newcomer's revel tonight. It was largely for the group that just "graduated", in garb, so they could meet other folks in the Barony, etc. There was a nice turnout. It was good to see some of our friends, and I was chuffed to see that most of our sewing night peeps wore proper headcoverings. :-) I rode with Lasairfhiona and Wulfric, and we had to leave early-ish because of the kids, but that was okay. We made up a silly story about Jessica the Mermaid (long-lost relative of Ariel) on the way home. With Bob the eel, an evil manta named Ray, and a seadragon whose flames kept getting doused by the fact that he lived in an undersea cave. I tell ya, if I wrote kids' books, I could have a field day with this.

I have to get up at a reasonable hour tomorrow to pick up the computer. Then the duct (not duck) cleaning guys will come and work their magic. Then Matt and Meg and Julian will arrive, and Matt and I will go buy a new hard drive, and program installation will commence...

I realised that I have to crank on the GP, because I need to mail it before T'giving. Eek.

I did get a little writing done today, mostly notes on what happens in the current/next scenes of AETW. But it's something.
