Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Return of my Lord :-)

writing: day off
exercise: day off

Ken’s home! Ken’s home! Alas, he got no sleep on the plane, so he’s already in bed, before 7 p.m. But that’s okay. A good night’s sleep will do anyone wonders.

For some reason, now I’m really sleepy, too. How annoying. I want to use this “free” time to get stuff done!

“Return of the King”… What can I say that hasn’t already been said? It was awesome. I cried a lot, laughed a lot. Three-quarters of the way through, I was already wondering when we could see it again. Go see it; it’s worth it, in spades.

Omigod. I just found out that the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills has a display of LotR costumes, etc. Until 29 December. WOO!

So I worked on the January GP, because that’s about the level of brain power I had. Then Cat came home, and we watched “Kissing Jessica Stein” (research for the story Teresa and I are writing—no, really, the gls for the antho mention the movie), which was pretty good. Then we watched VH-1 Classics, which was showing hair metal bands, and made fun of the videos.

Hm. Ken might be getting up. He’s not sure… Nope, doesn’t look like it. I think I’ll toddle off to bed myself, and read for a bit. More tomorrow, as always.
