Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Synopsizing

Waking the Witch: edits Ch2–4, synopsis

It’s still beastly hot, but there’s a wee bit more of a breeze today. The study is still the hottest room, but not quite as bad as yesterday. Blech, I still say. Weather.com says it’s 100°, but it “feels like 98°”. Whatever the hell that means. It’s supposed to be down to 80° tomorrow, though. I never thought 80* would be a relief.

I’ve been in the pool twice so far. Maybe once more before I go to bed. We’ll see.

So, the synopsis for WtW is mostly done, except for the last paragraph or so, plus some massaging to make the romantic arc a little clearer. Right now I’m working through each chapter, editing a bit and trying to add those romantic scenes. I may not have time to get them all written, but at least I’ll mark where they go so the three people who read the full ms will have an idea of how it will go. It’s going well.

We’ve rented “Wrong Turn” (Eliza Dushku horror flick, filmed around the time “Buffy” ended), so I’m off to watch that. They were out of “Kill Bill vol. 1”, which we haven’t yet seen, and want to see before vol. 2 leaves the big screen. There are a few movies out now we want to see.
