Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Hazy

And May is slipping away, in a haze of travelling and friends and concerts…

This is the first chance I’ve had at the computer since Sunday morning, other than a quick e-mail check-and-delete on Wednesday, I think it was. Ack. I have so much to do! I’ve pared down the e-mail to less than 30 messages, and I’m hoping to actually answer a bunch of them today so I don’t have too too much to deal with when we get home. (I do, however, have a hefty “After Trip” folder, and most of the e-mail in it will need to be dealt with expediently.)

My To Do list is growing as I think of things along the way. But one of the good things about a vacation is that I come home raring to go, and I’m better about using my time wisely and not noodling around or wasting time. Top priorities are getting the GP edited, designed, and to the printer; and reading the OCW workshop submissions. But I have lots of little things to do in between, so I don’t give myself tendonitis or have my eyes explode from too much computer time. :-)

Much, much later. No e-mail left in the In Box; about 35 in After Trip, although some of those are just reminders or things to follow up on. Workwise, there were three story rejections (now there’s a damper on a holiday) and an upcoming contract negotiation that doesn’t look fun. Gaack. I need to shower now, and get ready for the concert. I’ll deal with it again on Saturday.
