2004-08-03 11:59 PM ...is another day Had the light off by about 10 p.m. last night, and set the alarm for 7, allowing a decent 8–9 hour sleep that I normally need. Nonetheless, I was pretty much awake by 5 a.m., and we rolled out of bed about 20 minutes later. (Actually, I was awake several other times, because apparently my bladder is still on UK time. Some time zone where I have to pee a lot, at any rate.) It’s amazing how much you can accomplish before 8 a.m.! I have already crossed a fair amount of things off my To Do list, such as paying bills.
I was just awake enough last night, after we returned home, to open and sort mail whilst we chatted with Ken’s mom, who’d picked us up from the airport. We had so many packages, it looked like Christmas. Most of them were the various books I’d ordered for the workshop, as well as the granny boots I won off Ebay. The heels aren’t ideal, but they’re as close as I’m going to get right now. Granny boots slide in and out of fashion every 5–10 years, so the next time they’re in fashion, you can be sure I’ll be snapping up multiple pairs. <><><> A fair number of pictures of me here, because I’m attending Her Majesty during Opening Court. :-) There’s also a couple of Ken in the audience. And some exceedingly adorable pictures of Her Majesty with Her new kittens. <><><> You know, everything was going fine this morning, and even early afternoon, and then at some point my brain and body shut down. Curse them. I got tired, and my lower back aches (whether from the chiro adjustment or cramps—which I never really get there—I don’t know). Phooh, I say. Phooh. So I’ve been phaffing around online for far too long. So yes, had my chiro appt, picked up a new contact lens, and we ran some errands (food shopping, flea meds for the cats, a file box for house selling/buying/moving stuff, and lots of packing tape). All bills paid save one, and various Quicken things reconciled and updated. An Excel file created to track change-of-addresses. We also met with our local Realtor and signed papers to start the house-selling process. It’ll probably go on the market next week, after much packing and some repairs and such. We got no packing done today. Crap. But, like Scarlett says, there’s always tahmarrah. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
