2005-03-23 8:55 PM Publication! and other good news Words Written: AETW: 342
Yes, I do love my window (bank of windows, really) here at work: I just looked out to watch a California buzzard riding the currents beneath the cumulus clouds. Wow. It was gorgeous and sunny on my drive up, but now a low cloud mist is starting to hover along the tops of the mountains. And much later, I looked out and was temporarily left speechless by the nearly full moon in the late afternoon sky. Although clouds remained over the mountains, there was much blue sky. <><><>
I’m amazed and delighted to report that my story “Lily La Rouge, or, The Ghost of Erotic Presents” is already up at Fishnetmag! ( In other delightful writing news, Teresa and I sold a co-written story to Wicked Words, a series of erotica anthologies from the UK (published by Black Lace, an imprint of Virgin Books) (check out that irony!). The editor said in part, “Unusual to have two authors writing one story - but when it’s this good….” Mmmm, stroke my ego a little more… It’s not quite 9 p.m., but I’m tired, and I’m going to bed. I’ll set the alarm early and maybe try an early shift at work, just to see what traffic’s like. I’ve got info for two different bus services, both leaving Ventura at the ungodly hour of 6 a.m. I might as well start experimenting to see if I can even be functional enough to drive at that hour. ---- Currently Reading: Double-Blind (BattleTech), Loren L. Coleman; War at Home, Kris Nelscott (Kristine Kathryn Rusch writing in her award-winning mystery series) Lately Listened To: RWA CDs Recently Watched: “Young Blades” Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
