Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Depth and balance

Words Written: DFL: 251

Of course, on the day I say I’m going to start walking around the parking lot for exercise, it’s grey and threatening to rain. :-) It’s really pretty, though. Strangely, I feel more productive when it’s grey outside. Sun distracts me, I guess!

And, I carefully made a strict schedule for Saturday so I get lots done, and now Ken’s thinking he won’t leave ‘til early/mid next week. I’m not complaining, though. Although I do need to get some work done this weekend, it’ll be much better to have him home. It’ll give us some time to re-group after having guests and much busy-ness, and we can catch up on TV and snuggling and whatnot. :-)

It’s all about balance, really. I’m not sure that’s something I’m good at. I’m both easily distracted and good at getting ultrafocused. (I’m a mess of contradictions!). Balance…perhaps if I had better depth perception…

Not as much writing today, both because I brainstormed some notes before settling in to the actual writing, and because I got sucked in to conversation on the way home (travel, foreign countries, motorcycle touring, Liechtenstein’s time bubble…).
