Mood: Temporarily disheartened Read/Post Comments (2) |
2005-05-20 9:38 PM Ouch Words Written: DFL 735
Like ripping off a Band-Aid, I’m just going to say it quick: my romantic erotica novella was rejected. And in a neatly painful double-whammy, my synopsis didn’t make the first round cut of the White Wolf/World of Darkness contest. However, the romance editor did ask me to send more, so I’ll keep plugging away at DFL (~600 words on the carpool to work today!), with a goal of getting a synopsis written and the first 50 pages cleaned up and to her soon. The novella will wing its way to Red Sage once I’ve written a brief synopsis for it. <><><> Tired all day. I didn’t sleep well last night, partly because of the above and partly because WRDH was turned up way loud and playing random snippets of Big Bang Theory. Plus I forgot to order lunch today. So I went down to the coffee truck and bought a full-of-sugar-and-caffeine ice-blended mochachino drink and vibrated my way through the morning (I swear, my teeth were buzzing), and then ate my Emergency Frozen Dinner for lunch. And made popcorn this afternoon. Not exactly the healthiest of days, but at least I’m still awake. <><><> Home. Exhausted. Bed now. ----
