2005-08-03 10:57 PM The line forms to the left Words written: “Breakfast in Bed” some, but no idea how much
Wednesday already. Sheez. How do these things happen? But it's going okay so far. My back didn't hurt at all when I got up this morning, but started to again once I was walking around. Apparently I should stay in bed. I can write in bed, after all. I just can't do this other silly job. I had a tasty tuna sandwich on a wheat roll for lunch (and half of my Baja Fresh burrito for breakfast!). I must get several things done tonight, including proofreading the proofs for “Slow Burn” and finishing the second largesse bookmark. It occurs to me that I can sew on the backing at the Shire meeting, where I have to pass it on to someone. And, of course, I need to continue working on “Breakfast in Bed,” which continues to fight me every step of the way. It's all mental, really. [whining deleted—just gotta write the story] Also in the next couple days, I need to have Ken help me haul out all the various supplies for Pirate Tourney, to make sure I've still got a full kit for myself and enough to loan out (more on that in a sec). Also to determine how many crew sashes I have, so that I can start commandeering “volunteers” for Wicked Red's crew this year. (People really do volunteer. It's hard to say no to a busty redheaded pirate captain. With a riding crop and bullwhip and flail and cuffs…) (The line forms to the left. Eilidh? Eleyn? Ilyana [or however you spell your name…]?) Much excitement, too, because Maren is not only coming to the event, but staying the whole weekend! [bounce bounce] She's borrowing garb from me, which is why I need to ensure I have the proper bits for the various outfits. My bodice lacing cords tend to wander off… So ideally I'd like to have any projects finished before she arrives Friday evening, so that we have a fun Saturday at the event and the revel afterwards (new tradition is that everyone troops of for dinner at Pirate's Grub and Grog—which is, strangely, a sports bar) and maybe people hanging out at our place after that. And maybe a Sunday brunch before fighter practice. Ooh! I wonder if I can pull that off? <>-<>-<> With only a few stitches left in the second bookmark for largesse, I found an error in the middle of it that throws everything off. So. I'll turn one in, and either fix the other and mail it, or call it a wash. Too tired to decide. Proofs done, too. It's now a good hour after I should have been asleep. Off to fall over. G'night, pets. ----
