2005-09-06 9:51 PM Rested and relaxed?! Words Written: “Mrs. Claus and the Naughty Elf,” 395
At least two people at work today have told me that I look rested and relaxed from my vacation. Huh. I don’t feel rested and relaxed. In fact, as the day goes on, I’m feeling less and less rested and relaxed. Life’s a bitch, eh? However, it looks like I’ll be carpooling for the rest of the week, so maybe I can get some writing done. And the coming weekend (yeah, it’s already Tuesday and I’m looking ahead to the weekend—that gives you an idea of my mental state) shouldn’t be too busy: Saturday, Ken’s organized a group of bike guys to go to a local, privately owned motorcycle museum that’s open only once or twice a year. They’ll all go for a ride afterwards, then come back to our place for an early supper, which I will make (planning a vat of chili, along with salad, cornbread, and chocolate-chip cookie bars). Either Saturday or Sunday, I do want to meet with Hope re: my website (oh, she’s doing some gorgeous things with it!), and she’s also asked folks to come over and help decant “bruise juice” (made by the Herbal Guild) into small bottles. That’s it. The rest of the weekend will be writing and getting ready for Crown Tourney the following weekend (I have several small projects I’m in charge of, which I deliberately put off until we were back from CCR). <>-<>-<> Oh my goddess, there’s a Galadriel Barbie. That is so wrong, I can’t even begin to articulate. <>-<>-<> I came up with an idea/characters for an erotica story for an upcoming anthology, but all I had time to do tonight was type up some notes. I’ll get to writing it tomorrow. Feels good! [Addendum: Okay, I felt guilty, so I went down and started the story. It’s very amusing, I think…] ---
