Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Happier words

Minor amusements from the trip out to GWW with Janice and Darren: Janice also spent a year in law school, escaping as I did after finals and never looking back; and Darren has seen the inside of the back of a Brinks truck, information that Teresa and I needed for the story we’re currently working on. Came home to the contract and payment for Deathgrip: Exit Laughing, which will be publishing my story “Hell’s Belles.” "Contract" and "payment": such happier words than “rejection.”

OTOH, I didn’t get home until 8 p.m., so it’s not the best of evenings. But we’ll muddle through, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Update: Soaked in the hot tub with Ken for a bit. That makes for a better evening already.
