2005-11-25 11:59 PM My favorite band's drummer's t-shirt... Words written: DFL 2420
Damnable headache followed me into this morning. I got up, took 2 Tylenol Sinus, 4 Advil, and 1 ginger capsule; flushed my sinuses with a warm saline solution; slapped on an eye mask; and went back to bed for another hour and a half. Now it’s lingering, but I have stuff to do, and I’m stubborn enough to do it. [Much later.] Wrote. Made tuna for lunch and a kick-ass lasagne for dinner (modified from the recipe in a rush when I discovered our pan was much larger than the one called for in the recipe). Uh…that was my day, really. Meanwhile, the electrical engineer in the house (that would not be me) rewired the utility porch, adding two lights on the ceiling and moving the original-to-the-house (probably) light to the kitchen, over the stove.
When Cat got back this evening from visiting her family, we all trooped to Salzers (local independent music and gift store) to buy the new Kate Bush album. (Well, that wasn’t Ken’s goal, by it was my and Cat’s goal.) We picked up some Yule gifts, the Kate CD, a Rush CD, the Evanescence DVD/CD set, and a CD by The Darkness. I looked blankly at Ken when he held it up. “Todd wears their t-shirt,” he said by way of explanation.
We trooped home and noshed on salad and garlic cheesy bread sticks (supplied by Cat) and lasagne, and watched some of the Evanescence DVD. A good evening. Now, I’m going to tuck into bed with Afalwen and see if I can’t eke out a few more words before calling it a night.
