The headache resurfaced briefly this morning (I woke from a slightly stressful dream with my neck stiff and in an odd position, which I’m sure contributed) but a liberal application of painkillers solved the problem. I went off to my hair appt, and then Ken and I shopped at a local tea house that’s going out of business. (Heavy, distressed sigh.) Got some silver candlesticks, rose bath stuff, marmalades, and a bunch of gifts. Sadly, they were out of the tiered plate holders (for serving tea sandwiches). I snoozed, I lost. They haven’t put out all of their wares yet, though, so Morgana and I will be going back. Anyway, Ken and I grabbed lunch at a Chinese place (not as good as I remembered), and then came home so he could do a conference call. We headed out to run more errands, but realized someone was coming over to drop off SCA stuff, so we turned around and came back home. Somewhere in there we renewed a prior discussion about buying new cell phones, which we’d researched. So after a bit more poking about online, we headed out to the T-Mobile store, and walked away with two shiny (and tiny!) Motorola Razrs. I love mine already. Every little minor annoyance with my previous phone has been solved, I think. This one is so much more intuitive. An amusing moment happened when Ken was paying and I was fiddling with the many ringtones available on the phone. I found one and gleefully announced to Ken (and anyone in the vicinity, including the salesguy), “Check it out! It’s porn music!” No, I didn’t chose that one as my ringtone. And anyway, the search continues for a Styx ringtone. Which seems to be more possible than the Battlestar Galactica music. Sigh. After a lovely supper of tilapia, brown rice, and broccoli, I got a bunch of ABC-CLIO work done and then focused on writing for a bit. And it’s about time! Once I got back into the novel and the scene, it went well, although it was late and I have an early conference call tomorrow, which cut my session short. G’night, pets!
