Look, I'm a moral pragmatist. I don't expect people to act purely in the interests of others, though I do respect those that aren't entirely selfish. There's a balance, okay?

So when I come into the office every morning, we have two coffee machines on this floor. Now when neither of them have any coffee in them, there's a problem.

People, if you take the last of the coffee, take the ten seconds to plop a new coffee bag in the machine and hit Brew. Not difficult. And if there's only a thin skim of brown liquid in the bottom, you have taken the last of the coffee.

This isn't like diving in a freezing river to save a drowning person. The sacrifice is very small. What the hell is wrong with these people?

And yes, I know, in the grand scheme of things this is very, very small.

But sometimes it's the small things, you know?
