On This Week with George Stephanopoulos the issue of John Kerry's ability to fight the war on terror came up. This week Kerry said he would be more "sensitive".
Republican attack dogs went after the statement, saying that sensitivity was not required, which is silly. I'd agree that sensitivity is important. Kerry tries to draw a distinction between Bush and himself by implying that he would work better with other world leaders and would do less to alienate them. So can somebody tell me how in the hell calling coalition contributions "window dressing", as Kerry did in March, is sensitive? Does Kerry just not give a damn about belittling and alienating countries like Britain, Australia, Poland, or Japan? Are these not important allies? 12% of coalition casualties in Iraq have been non-U.S. troops...are they "window dressing"? Read/Post Comments (20) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
