Yep, at 12:46 p.m. PDT a privately-funded craft will be launched from a Russian sub. The craft is unmanned and hopes to be able to unfurl Mylar sails that solar particles would hit and propel.

It's a pretty cool project, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. This project has seen a lot of technological setbacks. And even if it is successfully put into orbit, it's only a temporary unit that will degrade and burn up in the atmosphere.

Still, it should be interesting to follow.
