So Stephen Colbert gave a speech at the White House Press Corp dinner over the weekend. Some people think he was awesome. Some people think he was to harsh, to the President's face. Some people think he just flat out bombed. (Jill was there, weren't you? She said she thought he just stunk.)

Personally I think most of the jokes just weren't that funny. And that's the thing. Being offensive is one thing. Speaking boldly to authority is another. I personally think it's important to do both, but above all else Colbert should have been funny...and I just don't think his schtick worked.

Ah well.
