Saw it yesterday...thought it was pretty damned good, even though the reviews generally thought it wasn't as good as the first two.

I was surprised how many of the central characters they either killed off or "cured". Of course, they hint at the end that the cure probably doesn't stick, or at least it might not with Magneto, but still. I guess there are tons of characters to keep the franchise going (though I heard this would be the last), but the scriptwriters certainly didn't have a problem ripping through the cast.

Of course, deaths can be undone as well...that's obvious with the Jean Grey character. But bringing back a ton of characters would be cheesy. Did it follow the comics at all? I haven't read X-Men for years.
