I'm in my last semester of classwork. At the beginning of next semester I'll take my comprehensive exams, hopefully pass them, and start working on my dissertation.

Right now the topic of my dissertation is a bit fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure it will be:

1) a computational model
2) evolutionary
3) modeling aspects of the neocortex and/or some other brain regions (e.g. the hippocampus)

It takes most people 4-6 years to finish the program. I'm hoping to be on the shorter end of that spectrum.

Other than that I've just been pretty busy with school, but I'll try to start posting here more regularly.
