2008-02-25 8:12 AM Best Picture? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Looks like No Country For Old Men did better than any other movie last night, winning four Oscars, including Best Picture.
My comments on the film are here. I stand by my assessment. It was a crummy movie. Then again, other Best Picture nominees, like Atonement and There Will Be Blood, were painfully boring and turgid. Juno was a good film, but it wasn't heavy-duty enough to be in the category. And Michael Clayton was pretty good, but mostly because of the acting and direction (the story was tired and weak).
