My whole life I've been drinking drip coffee, but recently I became disenamored with my Mr. Coffee (mostly because I'd get brown scum in all sorts of places that are incredibly difficult to clean, and despite running vinegar through it to clean it like the manual says, the coffee was still tasting like ass). So I read about various other ways of brewing coffee, and decided to get a French press. You basically mix the grounds with hot water and then use a plunger with a filter on it to squeeze all the grounds to the bottom once it's done brewing. I tried it out this morning and it works like a charm. The coffee is superior because it brews evenly, all at once, instead of dripping through the grounds and sitting on a hot plate. And the device is remarkably easy to clean. So if you're a big coffee drinker and you're using a drop coffee device, throw that mother away and get yourself a French press. You'll thank me later.
