Interesting response. They didn't quite reject it - asked for revision and resubmission without promising publication if the revisions were made. Some of the revisions made sense and will probably be made regardless of whether I attempt them again. Others just were odd to me and I'm not so sure I want to do them without a promise of publication. And then there's the fact that the story is a reprint - it's already been seen without the requested revisions.

Still mulling this one over and may be for a bit. Might send the piece off elsewhere and try these guys again at a later date if I decide for the revisions.

Course, doing any of it may take a long while - work's eating up my time big time and I'm going into a writing and submissions drought.
