Today's report by weapons inspector Hans Blix makes it clear that the weapons inspection process should continue. He points out that, while a few questions remain regarding chemical weapons that had been previously declared but were not accounted for in the most recent declaration of December 7th, there has been substantial cooperation in terms of access to sites, and moves towards cooperation on substance.

It's important to remember that one can never go to war merely to disarm another country, that the need to disarm a country does not justify the use of military force according to the UN charter. However, this newest report makes it clear that by any standard the need for military force has not been established.
