Timmain was a finicky, nervous, bitchy cat who scratched the hell out of my arm more than once. She didn't like to be held, and after she got sick with Hyperthyroidism, she had perpetual dysentery and would shit on anything soft that was left on the floor. She was a nutsy, stupid, too pretty, aloof feline. Then she had a stroke, couldn't lift her head for a day or so, and we took her to the vet. She died of a heart attack in the the waiting room. If you've ever watched an animal die it's a cold reminder of a very difficult fact about all of life. It's incredibly fragile, incredibly short, and after it's over it's over. Animals are very pure in the way they die, I think. And you have to wonder if they have any clue of what's happening to them. I think Timmain knew. I sort of miss her.
