Hi. This is Jim Farris. I'm a guest blogger here at "Silly Thinking" and a kind of "associate editor" of some of the features you read weekly. I oversee "Celebrinet", "The Marlon Brando Show", "A Few Moments With Dead Celebrities", "Off The Top Of My Head" and many other special features.
Thank you for giving me a little space here for two special announcements. And after I read my brief prepared remarks I would be happy to take a few questions.
One. I would like to congratulate Douglas Lain for his all new feature "My Movements with PPRC". I love it and hope you do to, and if you don't read "Silly Thinking", Douglas has syndicated his weekly cliffhanger to another site on the web. Doug now premieres his feature on Indymedia and is trying to get on in many more large cities.
Congratulations Doug. And good luck in your new syndicated weekly feature and thanks for giving "Silly Thinking" the second day replay of your piece.I'm sure I speak for all of us at "Silly Thinking" when I say "Thanks for giving us a shot".

My second announcement is a more personal one. I met with CEO Douglas Lain hours ago to discuss the direction of "Silly Thinking" and my participation in it. And it is with a heavy heart that I feel it is time to announce my resignation from "Silly Thinking" effective immedietly.
I've enjoyed my time here and sincerely hope that my leaving does not effect your enjoyment of some popular favorites that I'm sure will go on. They certainly don't need me to continue the calibur of writing and fine entertainment that has come to be known as "Silly Thinking".

I feel that my vision of talented people doing their unique brand of weekly features dosen't jive with the concept some in the new managemnt team seem to have. The desire to censor and control the messages bieng put out by people like Marlon Brando and Sy Gold (And even me myself) is not the way I would like to continue.
So I wish all of them and you the best and say a quiet goodbye.
I will take a few qustions.

RB: Rob Barnes the New York Times. I have heard that you are the guiding force behind these features. What will happen to them now?

JF: I don't know Rob, but I'm sure they will continue. "Silly Thinking" has some very talented people. Perhaps you should ask Douglas Lain that question. Yes. The young lady in the back.

LB: Lorraine Blender, The Miami Post. Was your meeting with Douglas Lain a contentious one?

JF: No. Not at all. I sincerely wish him and his family, wife Sandra, Jody and Buffy, the twins, and that other kid the best. You know I am Godfather to all his children. Yes...

JG: Jeff Goldblum, The Houston Sentinel. I heard that you and Doug had a heated disagreement. That you were unhappy because Doug, the CEO of "Silly Thinking", has syndicated himself but not any of the other features.

JF: That's true. Well that's all I have time for. Ladies and Gentlemen thank you and as another American said some time back "Old soldiers never die. They just fade away..."
Well thank you and goodnight and goodbye.
