In New York, here is Connie Chung.
CC: Good afternoon to our east coast viewers and good morning to the west.
The largest and most deadly winter blizzard has attacked the pacific northwest portion of the United States causing death and destruction in it's wake.
The giant blizzard, packing 30 to 100 mile an hour winds has brought Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon to a standstill today.
Jim Farris and Douglas Lain work for our "Silly Thinking" affiliate in Seattle and we have them with us now.
Good morning Jim.
JF: Good morning, Connie.
CC: Good morning Doug.
DL: YEAH! SNOW!
CC: Jim, where are you right now?
JF: Well Connie, I'm trapped in my home. We couldn't get into our "S.T." headquarters today. Bye the way were in Portland, not Seattle.
CC: And Douglas, what's it like there in Seattle?
DL: Well Dan it's really snowing here. I can look out my window and see snow. SO NO WORK TODAY!!!! YEAH!!!
CC: We've heard motorists are stranded and the trains have stopped running..
DL: Stranded Dan? I'll bet. Look I'll open the window and dangle my baby out the window and you'll see how much YEAH SNOW there is.
CC: I don't know if that's a good idea Douglas...
DL: There you go, baby Simon. I've got you. A lot of fans are below the window and they love seeing baby Simon! They're screaming and yelling. It's a great day! Now... oops..
CC: What happened?
DL: Well, the baby's crying. A little too much snow for baby. But you can see.. he's covered with snow, Dan.
CC: Uhh, yes. Jim...
JF: He frightens me, Connie.
CC: He frightens us all. Now let's go to Lou Sherwood at the Silly Thinking WeatherCenter. Lou.
LS: Yes Connie. The map shows us with our infared Doppler 2004 imagery that it is and continues to snow there with blizzard conditions. Later today it will turn to freezing rain which scares the hell out of me Connie.
CC: It scares the shit out of me.
LS: That too. And here with our pinpoint Accuweather models...
CC: Thank you, Lou. Well as the deadly blizzard continues it's murderous march through the country we will keep you updated.
