STBREAKING NEWS: HURRICANE CHARLEY

THIS IS ST BREAKING NEWS.
From The ST World Weather Center in New York here is Garrick Utley, filling in for Connie Chung who is on vacation, and ST chief meteorologist Doctor Frank Storm.
GU: Yesterday they had Bonnie and early this morning Charley came to call. Good morning, I’m Garrick Utley from the ST World Weather Center in New York with a Breaking News Special Report.
Yesterday, as Hurricane Charley battered Cuba, with Havana taking a direct hit, Hurricane Charley was a category two hurricane, there was concern that Charley would become a category three hurricane today before reaching landfall in Florida. It is now a category four hurricane. There are only five categories, Charley is one of the strongest storms in the last twenty years, and Ft. Myers Florida could deal with 17 foot swells as Charlie comes ashore in the next hour or two.
Doctor Frank Storm, ST chief meteorologist joins us now.
Doctor Storm, explain what is happening as this Friday the 13th storm hits.
FS: Garrick, this storm is a fighter, it will come ashore in lower Florida and batter and kick it’s way up the coast. The storm track is a long line right up the eastern seaboard.
GU: How does Bonnie’s aftermath help this storm?
FS: Garrick, the last time a tropical storm was followed by a hurricane in less than two days, was 1906. The torrential rains left by Bonnie have been picked up and combined with Charley to make Charley even stronger. This is a mother of a hurricane.
GU: A mother indeed. Here, joining us now is Kelly Bright, in Ft. Myers. Kelly, can you hear me?
KB: Garrick, the winds have picked up here and the water is rising, over a million people have been… vacated… orm.
GU: Kelly, can you see more devastation ahead?
KB: Yes Garrick, hold on the wind….
GU: Kelly? Kelly Bright?
GU: Kelly?
GU: We don’t know what happened to Kelly? Kelly is.. we will get Kelly back? At some point. We will get Kelly back at some point.
