Our guest today is a living legend who appeared on the Super Bowl Halftime show, in part, in reaction to last years “wardrobe malfunction”. Sir Paul McCartney. PM: Hi. Hello everybody. Doodley who America. CC: Yes, well, doodley poo poo to you. PM: Oh, a little saucy aren’t we Connie Chung? Doodley Gumbles, yes. A sweet tart you are Connie Chung. CC: Sir Paul, did you get any pressure from the NFL, Fox, and Don Mischer who produced the show, to keep it clean. PM: No, me mates and I just play the music, you know. We just play. I mean, snicker doodles, you know, I do a clean show. THANK YOU AMERICA! CC: Sir Paul, did you find it in bad taste to sing “Live and Let Die” with fireworks and everything, in America’s 2005 Superbowl? PM: I just wrote a song. Want to hear it? CC: Right now? You want to premiere a new song on “One on One” ? PM: Yeah… listen: ’Slippery poodles in the rain, I’m here with Connie Chung and I’m listening to her talk. And now it’s my turn. My tuuurrrn. It’s my turn to talk on the talk show. It’s my turn to talk. Talking on a talk show…’ Thank you. CC: That didn’t rhyme. PM: here’s another one I wrote comin’ over here: ‘Riding in a taxi on the way to the show. Going to ride this taxi til I get there. Geeet there. I’m going to geeet there. I’m riding in this taxi til I get there. Doodle do do de do. I’m almost there. I see a billboard for United Airlines and wish I could fly into the sky like a bird. Like a biirrrd.
