A series of deadly explosions occurred at about 8:25, London time, this morning and continued for twenty five minutes, rocking subways and buses throughout the British capital. The death toll has not been accessed as yet, but it is feared that hundreds are trapped and many have died.
It is now 12 noon in England and Tony Blair has just made a statement at the G8 summit, nearby. He is leaving the summit, that he was hosting but the summit will continue without him.
It is now confirmed that this was a co-coordinated terrorist attack.
At least six explosions have occurred throughout the London area, causing the public transportation system to come to a complete halt, security in the United States has been heightened.
This, one day after the city was celebrating it’s getting the Olympic Bid for 2012.
