So the other night I'm driving with my sister and brother-in-law, helping move my sister's cats to their new house (yes, it did require three people. While not as big as my cats, they are still quite sizable and two of the three people weren't allowed to carry very much). As the car is being started, my BiL turns to me and asks if my seatbelt is fastened. And I replied, "Yes it is. Don't worry, your niece is safe and protected."

Huh?

It just slid out of my mouth. Niece. Implying that I'm having a girl. Which I don't yet know cause I'm only at nineteen weeks and that special wonderful type ultrasound isn't until April 27.

My cousin (an OB/GYN) tells me that women's intuition is usually pretty accurate. My friends' experiences pretty much corroborate this. My husband thinks it's all a load of hooey and we'll know when we know (but then, he's like that.)

Still..it'll be very interesting to see how accurate I am.
