Today I got to take a long walk with my daughter. I got to see her smile and chatter to the trees and the birds and the wind on her face.

I got to chat with neighbors also out enjoying the beautiful day.

I got to smell clean laundry drying in the wind.

I got to hear my daughter's peals of laughter as we played.

I got to share in the excitement of a young woman about to move into her first apartment.

I got to see my husband and daughter play and smile and laugh with each other.

Though it didn't start out so hot, my day turned out to be wonderful.
