Mark Martin for the first time in years and how there was a scan of a page from the jam mini comic we did. There are quite a few mini-comics pictured. Right below the page from Why Me? is one from Brad Foster.
Now flash forward about twenty years, and clear out of the world of Small Press Comics and into the world of SF Fandom. Here comes a new issue of Catchpenny Gazette #8 from David Burton who has given this blog extra circulation by compiling a column from some of my entries. And who did he engage to illustrate this particular column? Brad Foster! I know you shouldn't judge a book by the cover, but, to me, it is amazing how much better writing seems when it is beautifully presented, accompanied by brilliant illos. Among other good things, Christopher Garcia writes about finding at the Computer History Museum, a book of filk songs compiled by sf auther John Brunner, and Dave Locke explains about the Gregorian Calendar and the days that don't exist.
