Although I wasn't citing Michael Allen's blog entry about Charles Stross because of his criticism of Iron Sunrise but for the general ideas Allen presents, anyone who read that saw his critique and so might be interested in Cheryl Morgan's quite convincing (to this non-sf reader) alternate viewpoint on her blog at Emerald City which I should think is a must read site if you are interested at all in sf.
