OK. When you're trying to write a blog a day a free blog is always great. Thanks to netter I hereby present my own first lines of the month. Which mostly reveal that my journal is not overly personal and revealing...
January: At midnight I was working on a short story. February: The Floyd that figures most prominently in my musical memories isn't Pink, and the most memorable Collins isn't Phil. March: Mark Terry recently mused on his blog about how he came to write mysteries, rather than something else. April: Perspective. May: I'm always reluctant to start a new JournalScape month and clear out all those accumulated titles that make it look like I've actually got something done. June: When I was growing up June signalled my entry into a new world. July: Last night I was looking at some scenes of the devastation caused by rain and flooding in the northeast. August: Last week a number of bloggers were commiserating with George Pelecanos after a New York Times article revealed that despite critical acclaim, his recent books had only sold between 17,000 and 21,000 copies. September: Yesterday, after a work induced hiatus, I attempted to pick up the threads (and notes, outlines, scraps of research, partial chapters) of our seventh Byzantine mystery. October: I'm not sure where my blog went. November: I read in the local paper that “Jack the Mailman” died. December: When I was very young my parents brought out an advent calendar on the first of December. Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
