I didn't post much (i.e. at all) during the latter part of 2009, but on his estimable blog Mark Terry posted his 2009 Reading List and that's something I can do. It's always interesting to snoop at other people's bookshelves.

I managed to read more books in 2009. Some were rereads. The length of the list below is a bit deceptive because many of the novels are very short. I like concise books but four Maigret mysteries are about half a modern fantasy doorstop.

For my own interest I divided the books into very rough classifications to see what I'd read. As you can see, my taste is all over the place. (Although almost exclusively in the past) No wonder I can never decide what to read next or to write for that matter.
