Well, I made everyone wait way too long for this entry, but there you go. I didn't find out until this past weekend, but James B. Baker, the owner, manager, and publisher of Promartian (The Fifth Di..., The Martian Wave, Champagne Shivers, Aoife's Kiss, etc.) died last Wednesday. I had only recently found out he had been diagnosed with terminal colon cancer (he only just found out himself) and he was being moved to a care facility. We were waiting to get word from him... He was the first person to publish one of my poems. Michael Lohr was the first person to accept one of my poems, but Jim (through his wonderful editor J Alan Erwine) was the first to publish one. We'll miss him. Good News: Most of Promartian, if not all, is now part of Sam's Dot Publishing. J is still editing, as are Cathy and Tyree, so things should be continuing. I know there will be some changes come the first of the year, but things will be continuing, at least to some degree. Hopefully I'll have a chance to write more of substance soon... Comments.
