Well I'm at work now, on Sunday, and I didn't get to see Traci, which probably mean she's heading back to Michigan. I know she was really busy here the last time she came to visit, so I don't imagine she was any less busy this time. Since Jess is in Ann Arbor at the moment maybe I can hope to make a trip to MI at some point (Jake will want to see his sweetie, so...) Not enough hours...

I haven't gotten any copies of my chapbook yet, but they are in the mail, so I should get them this week. I can hardly wait, I really want to see it!!!

You know, I was thinking about it and in my last entry I oversimplified my anime preferences. I mean, there are shows that are my favorites because they are beautiful, like X and Angel Sanctuary and Bronze. And there are shows that are my favorites because they have great tales to tell, like Fushigi Yugi and Kenshin (both of which also have lovely art), and ones I like for other reasons or combinations of reasons, like Ranma 1/2, but I like Utena because it's beautiful art, and a wonderfully surreal and complex story, and it has great character interactions and relationships...I just get a big kick out of it...

I went out to 123 Pleasant Street and McClafferty's last night. A few friends of mine from law school were at the Mc bar, and I had a good time discussing music and books and gaming... Oh, and I saw Dan Scott at Pleasant Street and he said he had seen 8 Mile and that it was good... I'm a little embarassed about liking Eminem as much as I do, but I think Kenny is right, and we don't give him enough credit for creating a character that sells records. (And actually doing a lot of things that bely his character's commentary.) At any rate, I hear the movie in interesting, maybe I'll get the chance to go see it.

Finals are coming up, so you can expect to see many more entries as I do my best to do anything other than study, but don't feel too special--I suspect my car and apartment will get cleaned too. (grin)
