2004-07-15 4:25 PM computer wars Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) You know, I always understood the appeal of the idea of owning an Apple, but the real deal just never lived up to my expectations (bear in mind that I never have actually owned one, merely drooled lightly on others'.) My Toshiba has served me faithfully for the last couple years, and I suspect that I will happily buy another when this one goes phlooey. Hate to support the Windows monopoly, but love 1) the surprising stability of the spyware laden Windows XP, and 2) the ease of finding software, upgrades, etc. Thus this post on die puny humans made me feel especially amused:
"Or, as I said to Millar: sure, buy yourself a cute little Apple. Then save yourself some time and money by throwing the fucking thing out of the window, going out again and getting yourself a proper bloody computer." Yep, Warren Ellis rocks.
