2004-11-16 4:26 AM Do you recall Dinosaur Jr.? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) So J. Mascis & The Fog (J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. fame) featuring Dave Schools and Kyle Spence played at the bar tonight. Of course, they were incredibly awesome, as well as incredibly loud. I mean, just look at the stacks taller than a man. This was the kind of show where you could feel the music thrumming though your rib-cage, and you were a moron for not having ear-plugs. Still, there was plenty of Stoney's to be drunk (though I drank a Sammy Smith's Taddy Porter, and then a Rogue Mocha Porter instead) and lots of humorous drunk festiveness, which I got to laugh at. Alot. I managed to get a few pictures of the band, though with a camera phone they were not the clearest shots. We had to admire the awesome green drumset, of course.
All in all a lovely evening. And if you get the chance to see/hear/(feel) this band, especially live, go do so. Bring shooting range style ear protection, though. ---- MP3s of this band can be found here. Streaming 24/7 MP3 radio of Dinosaur Jr. can be found here. There's also an option to sign in to visit the audio section, where I suspect you may find some MP3s for download, but I haven't signed up, so I can't be sure. Maybe instead you'll get enlisted by the Dinosaur Jr. robot army. Hey, let me know. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
