Tip of the Iceburg

You always say, bring you street-life, bring you real-life, that one man's desperate and mundane existance is another man's... techni-color. [[strange days]]

it's 4:20, do you know where your parents are?

Wednesday, kol nidra, tech comm, cookies. I went to my class in Berkeley. Mmm, tech comm. Its such fun. No really. Stop laughing. I ended up getting back late, finished "Wicked" and started baking cookies. "Wicked" was okay. Not nearly as good as I'd been told, but by not that bad. I think the point of the book could have been summarized in a paragraph and the story was very hard to connect to the "wizard of oz" as I remember it. In general, it was sort of anti-climactic in what seemed like a very deliberate sort of way.

*shrug* The cookies turned out good tho.

I went to a break-fast party out in San Francisco yesterday. There was about 30 or so people in the room at a clip and probably twice and a half number of bagels. No joke, there were about 5 tables and at maybe two dozen bagels per table. Oy! I got invited along because Brian knew one of the chicks who was hosting it. Interesting group of people though. The crowd seemed very intellectual. There were cartegan sweaters, power ties, gold jewlery and other accessories ere'ing on the side of conservative.

Whee! Happy Yom Kippur!

Then post Yom Kippur party at "Le Colonial" in downtown. Mmm... Midori Sour, yum! Caught up with a bunch of folk.

After we went to Baccus, this little dive-y bar on Bush for more drinks! I ordered a shot of Jack and fired up the jukebox. When I got back to the bar, AJ and the bartender lady were talking about moms and baking chocolate chip cookies. Remember those cookies that I was talking about? I pulled out a bag... They were gone in nothin' flat. I guess they were pretty good. The bartender lady took the bag and offered some to the rest of the bar... :( She gave me a drink for 'em though.

*ahhh*

What a week! What a great fucking week.
