Tip of the Iceburg

You always say, bring you street-life, bring you real-life, that one man's desperate and mundane existance is another man's... techni-color. [[strange days]]

And somewhere, very close, the laugh that wasn't laughter

Hrm. It's been awhile and *again* I have tons of catching up to do.

I'm going to start with links that I have found and tests that I have taken...

I read this article on smart card hacking.

Here is a nod to my friend Ian Goldberg at zero knowledge about Freedom Networks. They've got a handle on some pretty cool end-user security products.

As it turns out I am...

Which Trainspotting Character Are You?

What flavor are you? Go find out here. As it turns out, I am either...

Buzz buzz, I am Coffee flavoured.

I am popular in the workplace, even though I am often bitter. I am energetic to the point of being frenetic; buzz buzz, out of my way. I tend to overwork myself and need periods of recovery time.

Or...

Cor blimey, I taste like Tea.

I am a subtle flavour, quiet and polite, gentle, almost ambient. My presence in crowds will often go unnoticed. Best not to spill me on your clothes though, I can leave a nasty stain.

Er... so, berlin must be the place for meat kicks.

And go check out rewind, fastforward, pause, pause.

And now for the sordid details...

I've been spending some time lately getting trashed.

Thursday night:

I had a bunch of drinks with the crew at Bacchus, zee local dive bar. The usual suspects were out shooting pool and having a good time. ... Kicking off the weekend early! Whee! Fun! MMM... And they were kaluha drinks, so I was *up* all night.

Friday:
I took a cab down to the train station, took the train down to Redwood City, a friend picked me up, we drove down to Atascadero, rented a car, drove down to Santa Barbara, ate dinner, I had *many* sake bombs, then, we got to destination in East LA at about 11:30. *whewf* What a long day! But good bonding time.

Saturday:
We got up semi-early, went to LA (Silverlake area) dropped off a computer at Coyote's, who still owes me lunch, by the way. Then we headed over to Sherman Oaks, hung out with Brian's brother Jon's house for awhile. Then, off to Santa Monica, where my friend and I both waited unsuccessfully for others to get back in touch with us. Then out to Orange County to take my dad out to dinner for his birthday. We stopped by my gramma and grampa's to say hello and such. They remind me that I don't visit nearly enough. Then back to East LA.

One of my friends finally got back in touch with me on the way back to E. LA, so we met at the house then went out for tea at this funky little place called Tea Station. VERY weird place. Fun tho. *sigh* I don't catch up with my pals nearly enough.

Sunday:
Got up too early for my own liking. Tried to go back to sleep. Failed miserably. Did the whole shower, dress, etc. We were out the door by 10:30. Drove back to the bay. Got back home about 7:50 or so. All in all, a very hectic weekend... that started on thursday. There were lots of thing said, lots of things talked about, I think I need a few days to sort it out. Jerissa and I talked about married life, living with one's significant other, religion, spirituality, family, friends, college, life before college, life after college...

Well, I'll keep you posted.
